With it’s 10 year production of the record breaking $2.6 million super car, the Bugatti Veyron, ending in March the industry has been waiting to see signs of what the next production of the French racing outfit will be.
While no official name has been released by Bugatti the rumors circulating are that it will be called the Bugatti Chiron, named after F1 Bugatti racing champion Louis Chiron. In today’s Frankfurt Motor show a real life version of the “Vision Gran Turismo”, a concept car built for popular racing video game “Gran Turismo”, was presented and have many thinking this is a blueprint of what the Chiron will look like.
At the motor show Achim Anscheidt, the head of the Bugatti design team, confirmed those theories saying “Bugatti’s design DNA has reached a new stage in its evolution. Given the nature of the project, our concept car for Vision Gran Turismo is overstated and pushes performances to the limits, but its progressive design language will clearly show the direction that Bugatti’s design will take in the coming years.”
